To make my Maya corridor for the example of my game, I had to first learn the software. I had a little experience of the software form a previous project I worked on, but otherwise, I started from scratch. Outside of work times, I would look up tutorials so I could learn the software better. I harnessed my skills with the software and became very comfortable working with Maya.
I confidently used all the software in my portfolio video to make all the work I've made. I took my time to learn all the different software so I could use them effectively. The rest of my work can be found at tbmedia180@blogspot.com

Showreel - With Commentary
Music Video
In my music video, as the camera operator, I suggested how we should try multiple different camera angles, and move actors and the crew around based on the light and shadows. While setting up shots I would help explain how I was going to film, what movements I'd make and how close the camera would be to the actors. We filmed multiple different shots for the same scenes. Close ups and mid shots for the same bits of dialogue so when it came to editing we had lots to work with.
Short Film
My role was very similar in this production as it was in the music video, using my experience from the music video I applied the same rules and skills I had gained for this project. We again tried multiple different camera angles and used the natural lighting to make the shots look sharper and cleaner. I would also explain shots again of how I was going to film, with different shots for the same scenes. I also worked well with my director, listening to all of his ideas and double checking his original plans. I would also ask him about how it wanted it to look whilst suggesting my own ideas of how the shot could look better.
Graphics Design
For graphics design, using my previous knowledge of using Adobe Photoshop and by learning Adobe Illustrator I made multiple different designs for websites, album covers and other small graphic designs. I'm very comfortable using photoshop, and I know most little tips and tricks on how to make my work look a little more high quality. I made 3 plans and designs for other social network websites as a practice and so I could get a feel of how the site should look. Once I found the one I prefered, I worked with it and made my final design. I was pretty happy with the final design of the website.
